Delete your ClubCourts account
ClubCourts app (iOS, Android and web) by ClubCourts GmbH
You can delete your ClubCourts account at any time, either yourself in the app or on the web, or by asking us by email. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.
1. Delete it yourself in the app
- Open the ClubCourts app and sign in.
- Go to Account and tap your name to open your Profile.
- Tap Edit at the top right.
- Scroll down, tap Delete account and confirm.
The button opens your profile in the app if it is installed. Otherwise it opens the ClubCourts web app at www.clubcourts.com/tennis, where you can sign in with the same account and delete it in the same way. You do not need the app for that.
2. Ask us to delete it
If you cannot or do not want to sign in, send an email to info@clubcourts.com. Please:
- send it from the email address your account is registered with, so we can tell that the request comes from you,
- write "Delete my ClubCourts account" in the subject line,
- give the name on the account.
If you write from a different address, we will ask you to confirm the request from the address of the account before we delete anything. We confirm receipt, delete the account without undue delay and let you know once it is done.
3. What is deleted
- Your sign-in (email address and password, or the link to your Apple or Google sign-in).
- Your profile: name, profile photo, contact details and settings.
- Your club memberships, friends and blocked users.
- Your notifications and messages, and the devices registered for push notifications.
- Your Rules Bot conversations.
- Your match statistics, trends and AI match analyses.
- Your tournament registrations and the tournaments you follow.
- The payment records stored in your account, and your customer record with RevenueCat, the service that manages subscriptions bought in the App Store or Google Play.
4. What is kept
- Matches, tournament results and court reservations stay in the history of the other players and the club, so their results and bookings remain complete. They are no longer linked to your account, but a match keeps showing the name it was played under. Matches you played only against guests are removed completely if you delete them from your match history in the app before you delete your account.
- News articles you published for a club stay with the club, without your name as author.
- Records of subscriptions and payments are kept, no longer linked to your profile, as far as and for as long as we are required to keep them by law for accounting and tax purposes. Stripe, Apple and Google keep their own payment records under their own responsibility.
- Usage statistics and crash reports (Firebase) are never linked to your name or email address and are deleted according to Google's retention settings.
- Copies in our database backups are overwritten in the normal backup cycle.
5. Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription. We cannot cancel a store subscription on your behalf, so it would keep renewing. Cancel it before you delete your account:
- Google Play: in the Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, or go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
- App Store: on your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Bought on the web (Stripe): in ClubCourts, go to Account, then Subscription, and tap Manage subscription.
6. Delete only some of your data
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. In the app you can delete individual matches from your match history and individual Rules Bot conversations. For anything else, write to info@clubcourts.com.
More on how we handle your data is in our privacy policy.
