ClubCourts - Terms of Use

Welcome to ClubCourts. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the ClubCourts app and related services. By registering for an account or using ClubCourts, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Description of Services

ClubCourts provides a platform that enables:

  • Live Scoring: Record, share, and store match scores in real-time in your own match history.
  • Tournament Management: Create and manage tournaments with draws, schedules, live brackets, and rankings.
  • Rules Chatbot: AI-powered answers about the official tennis regulations, including source citations.
  • Scoreboards: Display and track match scores in real-time using the ClubScore app or ClubCourts-compatible scoreboard devices.
  • Clubs & Bookings: Where offered, book courts at participating clubs and manage members and booking rules.

3. Registration and Account

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Users between 16 and 18 years of age require parental or guardian consent.

3.2 Account Information

You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

3.3 One Account Per Person

Each user may only maintain one account. Duplicate accounts may be suspended or terminated.

4. User Obligations

When using ClubCourts, you agree to:

  • Use the platform only for its intended purpose
  • Not misuse or attempt to manipulate match scores, tournament results, or the booking system
  • Honor your reservations and cancel in a timely manner if unable to attend
  • Treat other users, club staff, and facilities with respect
  • Not upload inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems

5. Subscriptions, Bookings, and Payments

5.1 Subscriptions

Certain features (e.g. the Rules, Plus, and Pro plans) are paid and offered as a subscription with a monthly or yearly term. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same term unless cancelled beforehand. You can cancel your subscription at any time in the customer portal, effective at the end of the current billing period; switching between plans is prorated. Billing is handled securely via Stripe.

5.2 Court Reservations

Where offered, reservations are subject to availability and the booking rules set by each club. ClubCourts facilitates the booking process, but the contractual relationship for court usage is between you and the respective club.

5.3 Payments

Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers (such as Stripe), supporting credit and debit cards as well as TWINT. For court bookings, payment terms and fees are determined by the respective club.

5.4 Cancellations

Cancellation policies for court bookings are set by individual clubs. Please review each club's cancellation policy before making a reservation.

6. AI Rules Chatbot

The rules chatbot provides AI-generated answers for informational purposes and does not constitute legally binding advice or an official interpretation of the rules of the game. Answers may be incomplete or inaccurate. The official rulebooks and the decisions of the responsible federations, referees, and clubs always prevail. Do not rely solely on the chatbot for binding decisions.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and software associated with ClubCourts are the property of ClubCourts or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 Platform Availability

ClubCourts strives to provide reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend or modify the service for maintenance or updates.

8.2 Third-Party Services

ClubCourts is not responsible for the actions, policies, or services of clubs, payment providers, or other third parties accessible through the platform.

8.3 Exclusion of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClubCourts shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

9. Termination

9.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9.2 By ClubCourts

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Use or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email. Continued use of ClubCourts after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at the registered seat of ClubCourts in Baden, Switzerland.
